Manufacturers extract almond oil by pressing or grinding the almonds. To refine the oil, they use heat or chemical solvents.
There is a third technique, cold-pressed almond oil. The oil is extracted at low temperatures without solvents. Cold-pressed oils can be particularly beneficial and are a reliable source for the skin.
here are two types of almond oil, each with a different use:
Bitter almond oil : This oil has a strong odor and is sometimes used in soaps, aromatherapy, and massage therapy. However, it is toxic when ingested.
Sweet Almond Oil : This oil is extracted from sweet almonds. It is commonly used as an ingredient in skin and hair care products.
