Globularia Cordiofolia is an evergreen perennial! Hardy, it will also be valuable for its cultivation in dry soil and its generous lavender-blue summer flowering which expresses itself as well in the ground as isolated in a trough.
Globularia Cordiofolia belongs to the Globulariaceae family. It is found in particular in the rocks or scree of the limestone mountains of the Haut Jura, the Alps, the Causses of Lozère, Aveyron and the Pyrenees (450 to 2500 m altitude), despite the rocky and dry soil with significant temperature variations.
Globularia Cordiofolia is a choice ground cover but also a wonderful accent plant, to the point of being similar to a micro-meadow. It quickly forms a vast, bushy carpet no more than 8 cm in height, with dark green, almost glossy foliage that is heart-shaped at the top and grouped in rosettes. From May to July, small spherical flowers no bigger than a coin emerge.
