What is Activated Charcoal?

Activated charcoal is a fine black powder made from bone char, coconut shells, peat, petroleum coke, coal, olive pits or sawdust. The charcoal is activated by processing it at very high temperatures. The high temperatures change its internal structure, reducing the size of its pores and increasing its surface area. This results in a charcoal that is more porous than regular charcoal.

How Does Activated Charcoal Work?

Activated charcoal works by trapping toxins and chemicals on the surface without being absorbed by the skin. The charcoal’s porous texture has a negative electrical charge, which causes it to attract positively charged molecules such as toxins, dirt and other skin irritants.

The benefits of a charcoal mask:

Eliminates impurities from the skin

Improves Acne

The New Angance Purifying Mask which has Activated Charcoal as its main ingredient. deeply cleanses the skin to restore its radiance. Formulated with an active carbon base with a strong absorbent power, it removes all impurities from the skin. Containing gold leaves, the positive ions help to balance the negative ions present on the surface of the skin.

Production of charcoal mask:

The Binchotan or white charcoal is a high-quality activated charcoal produced in Japan, in the historic province of Kishu. It is a variety of ash that is characterized by large hardness, carbonized by a combustion process at a low temperature of 1400 ° C (1200 ° C).

Due to its unique properties of adsorption, infrared radiation and purification by anion, Binchotan has been used in many areas of daily life in Japan for a long time now: filtering, water purification, adsorption of harmful gases, high-end fuel, also used in many areas of life in Japan.

The Binchotan has a surface strewn with irregular pores which gives off a very hard structure.

The bamboo charcoal has a much more fragile structure and has a regular surface vapor.

100% Kishu-Binchotan fiber (magnified 5000 times). Absorbent properties very superior to those of bamboo charcoal

The surface of the Binchotan is scattered with irregularly distributed pores; this singular porosity is preserved after the grinding of the coal, and is also found in the fibers used for the production of facial masks.

Steps involved in the production of the mask:

What are the effects?

Excellent cleaning efficiency:  The 100% Kishu-Binchotan mask digs deep into the dirt trapped in the folds of the skin, absorbs and cleans the dead skin cells accumulated in the pores. The dirt around the pores is removed and the pores gradually retract, leaving a delicate and impeccably clean skin texture, for a clear and radiant complexion.

Gentle grip: Adhesion is the determining criterion for the usefulness of a mask: only a mask that perfectly matches the shape of the face fully delivers its serum. The mask is made from 100% Kishu-Binchotan fibers and does not contain other fibres. The excellent porosity of Binchotan fibers allows full adhesion, and the very light pressure exerted on the pores forces them to absorb all of the mask serum, for optimal hydration results.

Natural composition: This 100% plant-based and biodegradable mask burns like charcoal, leaving only powdery embers that degrade naturally when buried.

Beauty through anions: The Kishu-Binchotan charcoal mask can provide the body with the same number of anions as a sylvotherapy cure ("forest bath"), providing a feeling of refreshing comfort on the face while neutralizing the cations produced by different pollutants in the cells of the skin, which thus helps in regaining the skin’s natural balance.

Sebum control: The Kishu-Binchotan charcoal mask absorbs excess sebum, balances the secretion of the sebaceous glands while replenishing hydration, for plump and luminous skin.

Convenient and easy to use: The effectiveness of Binchotan for cleansing the skin is well known in Japan. The 100% Kishu-Binchotan fiber mask is made entirely of premium Binchotan charcoal. A mask that is both easy and pleasant to use with superior effectiveness. Its time to get rid of the old mud masks and switch to the New Angance Purifying Mask.

Extra care that can be employed to increase the effectiveness:

Use the New Angance Purifying Mask twice a week for in depth cleansing.

The 100% Kishu-Binchotan mask has excellent cleaning power. It is recommended to use it twice a week for a thorough cleaning. Between two applications, you can use other masks to hydrate your skin.

Massage stimulates the production of anions. When using a 100% Kishu-Binchotan mask, the more you scrub, the stronger is the effect of the mask. So, to have the full benefits of the anions, do not hesitate to massage your skin. You can “Draw circles with your finger tips or Run an electric cleansing brush all over your face.”
